Story
I may be rather nervous at the prospect of donning a wet suit but to know it is in support of the hard work behind Thinking of Oscar makes splashing in muddy water pale in comparison.
Thinking of Oscar are striving to fund a new Children's Procedure Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and every penny you help us to raise will go on to benefit hundreds of children every year.
David gave me my first job out of university and, at a time when the economy was crashing and grad job conversations were pretty doom and gloom, I was ecstatic to be given the opportunity. So when he asked if I fancied joining his triathlon team it was a yes from me!
David's son Oscar passed away in June 2014 at just 16 months old. With Hannah and Holly, they have gone on to set up Thinking of Oscar, in his memory, with the objective of; the relief of sickness and promotion of the health of children, young people and their families whilst in hospital care across England.
Thinking of Oscar is an inspirational and determined charity that I know will go on to have an incredible impact on the lives it touches across England and I am so pleased I can be a part of that.
Thank you for all your support.
