Story

So here it goes... 8 days of torture, energy bars & gels that upset your tummy, sleepless nights, the sophie grump...all for such an amazing worthy charity that needs funds and awareness raised.

In all:- 8 days, 1024 kms, 22 major climbs, 19285 metres of ascent, just on those main climbs.  Biggest climb is 24.8 kms at a 7.5% average.  2 days over 170 kms - help.

The ride is entirely self-funded with all proceeds going straight to the
charity. It will be an enormous challenge over the 8 days of riding,
even for the more experienced riders, covering more than 1000kms and
well over 20,000 metres of climbing.
Kennedy's Disease UK (KD-UK) is the only UK based charity raising funds to help raise awareness of this awful disease, which affects a very good friend of the riders. We want to help make sure that this rare, often misdiagnosed disease is recognised as well as making people aware of the effect it has on sufferers, their families and their friends. There is only one centre carrying out vital research in the UK and we hope that our efforts will help them find a cure.

The team are giving not just their time, money and enthusiasm to the cause, they are dedicating many months of training in preparation, well worth  sponsoring them in return!
