The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

Hello,

and cheers for taking the time to visit my Brain Research Trust fund raising page. My aim is to raise £2000 to thank all friends and family, who helped me to recuperate with the hope and strength to recover after my accident.

I will be supervised by Phebe, Jemima, Josiah, Kezia, Tabbitha, Isaac & Enoch on their bikes. The Burden family will witness and confirm completion of my jog, while supplying jam sandwiches, cups of tea and lots of water along the way :) My darling dog Henry will only join my jog for the final of five laps, as his little body is not suited to the full distance.

I'm jogging a one off Isle of Dogs, riverside, 26.3 mile marathon on Saturday 28th June 2014. Each 5.26 mile lap will extends from London Yard beach, along the Thames Path, past Folly Wall, across the Marsh Wall and back to London Yard beach.

This is my plan B, as due to a repeat injury which disrupted my original April London marathon training, I'm starting again...

New Plan B Training Plan Targets (in addition to daily Henry walks and ad hoc Bikram yoga classes):

1 mile      5th April longest jog: this Saturday, I actually ended up jogging 2 miles to Island Gardens and back.  I felt terrible during this jog, ended up stopping to wait for Henry breaks, and felt tired. However, I'm feeling encouraged by my recovery and progress.

3 miles   12th April longest jog + (1 X 2 miles): On Sunday 6th, Monday 7th & Tuesday 8th completed 2 mile Island Gardens jogs and feeling better after every jog... So ahead of target and getting faster everyday, although still jogging as opposed to running. Even Henry has started to keep up without his breaks. Yay :)

  5 miles    19th April longest jog + (2 X 3 miles)

  7 miles    26th April longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

  9 miles       3rd May longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

11 miles    10th May longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

13 miles   17th May longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

15 miles    24th May longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

17 miles   31st May longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

19 miles   7th June longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

21 miles   14th June longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

   3 miles   21st June longest jog + (2 x 3 miles)

26 miles   28th June 2014 marathon
