Story

On behalf of Kidney Research UK thank you for visiting the official Sir Jack Brabham Memorial page.

Sir Jack sadly passed away in May. A triple Formula 1 World Champion, legendary driver and engineer, Jack suffered from kidney disease and underwent dialysis for many years. He was renowned for his tremendous contribution to raising awareness of kidney disease, particularly in Australia.

Kidney Research is the only UK based charity dedicated to funding research to create a world free from kidney disease. We are focused on:

  • Funding and delivering life-saving research into kidney diseases

  • Improving treatments for people with kidney diseases and enhance their quality of life

  • Increasing awareness of kidney health

  • There are 3 million people across the UK who are at risk of kidney disease, those already living with the disease, patients on dialysis and people who have received a transplant. The work we do has far reaching benefits for patients, their families and friends.

We fund research projects that help answer questions about the causes and prevention of kidney disease. We also fund work to improve treatments for patients that will make an immediate difference to their lives.
