Challenge SA 07 · 1 February 2007

The Carphone Warehouse Charity Partnership supports TreeHouse and Get Connected. All funds raised will be administered by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), the not-for-profit organisation which is committed to effective giving, providing a range of specialist services to donors, companies and charities in the UK and internationally. CAF's work spans the full breadth of the charitable sector, working wherever it can make a positive difference to the level and impact of giving.

Story

Hello again (and thanks) to past sponsors, and a warm welcome to potential new ones.

Yes, I'm off again; this time on a trek combined with time spent helping out at a school for aids orphans in South Africa.

Those who have had a happy childhood know what a great start in life it affords. Many, however, are not so lucky. The Carphone Warehouse Charity Partnership has become known particularly for its support of charities which address childrens' problems (including those for the autistic and those who lend a friendly ear over the phone when there's no one else to talk to) and I am delighted that our combined efforts will go towards helping the young both here and in South Africa.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Carphone Warehouse Charity Partnership will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

As you can see, the target has been reached, but that's no reason to stop raising more! Targets are there to be beaten, not just met: the more we can help these youngsters the better. Even if you could spare us just a fiver it would help tremendously - as the saying goes, North of the Border: 'Many a mickle maks a muckle' (Lots of little things add up to something rather bigger.)

Many thanks for your support.
