COPS is a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives on duty to rebuild their lives. We aim to ensure that surviving family members have the help they need to cope with such tragedy and they remain part of the police family.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page. This is my 3rd year on the tour and one of the most important weekends of my year.

Between Friday 29th July 2016 and Sunday 31st July 2016. 99 colleagues and I will be cycling from the National Police Memorial on The Mall in London to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The tour covers 180miles over the 3 days. The tour raises a huge amount of money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) and concludes by joining the COPS survivors weekend. Including attending their annual service of remembrance.

COPS is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty rebuild their shattered lives. The police service does not have the resources to maintain support for families beyond the immediate aftermath of the death. This is where COPS comes in. To ensure this help can continue please, PLEASE sponsor me!

In 2016 I am riding for the memory of Police Constable Kenneth Brodie. Kenny was killed aged 34 on Wednesday 8th January 1997. Kenny's police patrol car was involved in a three car collision whilst on mobile patrol on the A76 near Mennock, Dumfries-shire.

Thank you in advance for your donation. You are a star for helping me to help COPS. Please give as generously as you can.
