I am a GP working in Christchurch, Dorset. Macmillan Caring Locally are invaluable to our local population. They provide expert advice, support and treatment for people who are seriously ill. This support is available to patients, their families. This work takes place both in patient's homes and the specialist unit.

We work  with Macmillan Caring Locally and value their work, commitment and care enormously. I simply do not know how we would manage without them.

As many of the patients at the Grove Surgery know I am a keen cyclist and cycle to and from work and on home visits. I am lucky enough to be joined on this adventure by my cousin Liz and together we will be peddling this famous route.

I strongly suspect that both of us will enjoy the trip a bit too much to make the journey completely altruistic but would very much like to raise funds for a brilliant cause on our way if we can.
