Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far! Here's the link to my blog, where I'm typing about the cycling! http://onewomanandhermaps.wordpress.com/2011/04/19/nyc-to-miami-day-2

We've found a way to do some training - we're going to cycle down the world's tallest active volcano tomorrow!
On 16 April I´ll be starting a 1,500 mile (at least!) cycle ride from New York City to Florida, in aid of a great homelessness charity, which supports more than 70 hostels across England. I know that Church Housing Trust is a really worthwhile charity to support because I used to work for them many moons ago, and the work they do with the homeless is invaluable.
I´m doing this ride at the end of a five month trip in South America, where I´ve been on a bike all of twice. This means I´ve done no training and I´m in a lot worse physical condition than I was before I left! This trip is going to be hard work, but if you can find a few pounds down the back of the sofa to help support this great charity, it´s going to make it that much easier to keep cycling.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks so much for visiting my page, I´d be grateful for any support you could give.
