28 years ago i was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an inflamatory bowel disease. After years of suffering and trying various medications, i was told i could die unless i had my large bowel removed. so 15 years ago this month I had an ileostomy formed and my life was not only saved, but transformed. 

I want to raise awareness of both ulcerative colitis and crohns disease, and also Stomas. just to show there is nothing to fear in having "a bag" nor should we be ashamed and keep it secret.
