I have decided to join Penny Appeal in an epic adventure to trek to Everest Base Camp. This decision was not decided lightly, but what pushed me to sign up was knowing that the money raised would be going to those in desperate need of help.

This is a 17 day journey with 12 days of trekking. I'll be experiencing all sorts of weather conditions and be pushing myself physically, as well mentally. Everest Base Camp is 17,500 feet above sea level, and is the highest mountain on earth. I have never done anything like this before, so I know this is going to be a challenge!

The money raised will be going to the Rohingya refugees who have been displaced in Bangladesh. Sadly Bangladesh is an impoverish country, and simply doesn't the resources or funds to help these refugees. With your generous donations, the money will provide shelter, food, clean water, medical care and much more.

Alhamdulilah a lot of us are so fortunate to have a roof over our heads, clean running water and easy access to medical care. Lets help make a positive difference to the lives of these refugees.
