On October 14th 2012 I'll be lacing up my running shoes for my first half marathon, and wanted to raise some money for a good cause while I'm at it.

I really believe in the work of Kidney Research UK - if you are at all sympathetic to the cause or to my aching limbs, then please dig deep. 

I first realised the devestating effect that kidney failure can have on a patient when my Gran fell ill, and sadly died, in 2006. It's a debilitating condition that destroys the individuals' quality of life and, if a donor cannot be found, is fatal. I'm committed to supporting Kidney Research UK in their vital work in fighting this disease.
