Oh my god. I cannot believe it is finally here. Its RACE DAY. Wahoo I am so excited and nervous my heart is racing. The sun is shining. Lets hope I get the time I want.
This time next week I will have completed one of my lifetime aspirations by completing the London Marathon. It has been a long hard road with training and injuries those of you who know me I enjoy my luxury items which I have forgone for quite a while especially alcohol. Well my 20 mile road race turned out to be ever so slightly longer. Not quite the time I was looking for as from the 12th mile I couldn't breathe :-( quite an emotional finish but I will put that down to the lack of oxygen. I ran with MapMyRun! RACE: a 10km which can only be described as a proper cross country course. It had bogs, puddles, inclines, declines, valleys, people losing trainers and the a like at Avon Tyrrell.
