Story
After riding coast to coast in a day last year, we decided to up our game another level and appeal to our supporters to donate yet again.
So we decided riding from our village of Burbage in Leicestershire to Watergate Bay on the Cornish coast in around 24 hours without a break or any sleep would be a challenge!! Its only 300 miles and its only got over 22,000 ft of climbing - to put that into perspective that amount of climbing is higher than Everest base camp-and up there with the highest peaks in the world.
Hopefully the knowledge of the effort we put into training for an event like this and then the pain and suffering we will go through in attempting to cover the distance, will encourage people to donate and support me again, knowing that I would not ask if I was not testing my mind and body to the maximum .
Me & the other participants all ride this event to Remember Harvey, the son of our good friends, who sadly passed away suddenly aged 7 in 2011. The ride is a tribute to him and his family, and a way to ensure we all think of Harvey whilst training and during the event, and bring some good by helping others through his families huge loss.
Thanks for your support!
