We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Cancer!  The word everyone dreads to hear.  The disease that has taken so many of my family and friends.

I was 17 years old when my dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  I lost him 5 months later.  He was 44.  Little more is known now about that horrible form of Cancer than it was then.  He missed my graduation.  He missed my wedding.  He missed meeting my two lovely daughters.  I miss him every day.

All of my grandparents passed as a result of Cancer.  My husband has also lost grandparents to Cancer.

I have also lost three of my aunties, too many friends to count and my dad’s brother is currently fighting this disease.

Cancer means different things to different people.

To me, it is something which is always there in the background, and I hope that more can be done to help detect and beat it sooner rather than later.

I don’t want to lose any more loved ones.

I want to see my children grow up and have a family of their own.

Please help support me to reach my goal for Cancer Research UK.  Every penny really does count.

Thank you
