Thoughout my life too many wonderful women have received breast cancer diagnoses. For my Aunt's generation it came way too late. For friends it has come with devastating worry, pain,  complications and disruptions for them and their families and friends. Luckily treatment has improved though and outcomes have been better .

Now, I dearly wish this to change for the next generations, for my nieces and great nieces and my friends and neighbours, daughters and grand-daughters, for all women. 

The University of Nottingham has made significant progress in tackling breast cancer. Their appeal (which needs to raise £1,000,000) aims to:

Provide the world's first blood test to detect breast cancer early

Understand what makes cancer spread and stop it

Develop personified treatments for cancer sufferers.

Everyone who is taking part in the 105 mile Robin Hood Way walk is raising money to help this research and important work.  I hope to walk it all. I'm sure you'll hear all about my attempt and laugh. So if possible please sponsor me whatever you can.
