Starting on 3rd June 2015, I am taking part in a 260km bike ride in France (which is almost the same as three back to back London to Brightons) along with 10 other work colleagues. We will be cycling from Orleans to Poitiers. This is to raise money for my chosen charity, Alzheimer's Society.

I did a similar ride two years ago - and can honestly say I haven't been on the saddle since! Clearly I have forgotten the pain involved in such an event - BUT it is all for a good cause!

For my personal fundraising target I am looking to raise £500+ for Alzheimer's Society.

I have chosen this charity as it is close to my heart. As I am sure many of you know, sadly both my grandparents were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia last year. It is a horribly sad illness that affects not only the individual, but the family and friends significantly.  It’s hard to watch people you love go downhill so rapidly and it’s unbelievable the level of support and care they require every single day.

I would like to raise money so that there can be more research and understanding into what causes this disease, along with funding further training into early diagnosis and ongoing care.

Over the past few years the Cellular Solutions team have raised over £111,000 – so with your help this event will help take us over the £140,000 mark – with the aim of reaching £250,000 over the next two years from our cycling fundraising.

Cellular Solutions will also match like for like any funds we raise up to £5,000.  Our overall total fundraising target for the event is £30,000. Every donation will help towards this figure that will make a significant difference to those less fortunate than ourselves. Every penny donated goes to charity and not towards the costs of the event thanks to sponsorship of the event by one of our network partners.
