Isabels Story..

Isabel (22 months old) was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called RHABDOMYOSARCOMA ON 04 April 2012. Fewer than 60 children are diagnosed with this type of cancer in the UK each year. This type of tumour develops in the soft tissue, which in Isabel’s case is in her left calf. Her tumour is aggressive and has spread into the lymph nodes up her leg and behind her pelvis.

Isabel is currently receiving intensive Chemotherapy at Leeds General Infirmary as an inpatient and outpatient. Chemotherapy treatment is currently expected for a year and a half, in between this radiotherapy and surgery will be required.

Candlelighters the charity we have chosen specifically helps to fight children’s cancer in Yorkshire, also offering much needed support to the parents of children with cancer. Donating to help fund research and treatment is really important.

Although Isabel is very unwell and suffers greatly, she has always been able to light up an entire room with her personality and warm loving nature. As long as she continues to show this spark, we will always have our Isabel.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you.
