We fund bone cancer research & grant wishes to seriously ill people #makingmemories

Story

Daisy and I have become 'Wobbleberries' in order to raise funds for the 'Willberry the Wonder Pony charity' for bone cancer research and to help grant equine wishes to seriously ill people (charity no.1166416)

The challenge is inspired by Hannah Francis, a young event rider from Frome who sadly lost her courageous battle with bone cancer 1/8/16. All throughout her treatment she continued to defy the odds and the terrible pain and symptoms she suffered and continued to ride as much as she could whilst fundraising for her 'Willberry' charity which hopes to one day help find a cure for this cruel disease that ruins the lives of so many.

As many of you are aware jumping is my nemesis, always has been, but more so after a fall in 2011 that has resulted in 2 lots of knee surgery, 2 lots of spinal injections after prolapsed disc as a result of the original injury and plenty of rehab, soon to be followed by hip surgery.

For the non horsey friends here a BE80 is a one day event where Daisy and I will compete in Dressage, Show Jumping (80cm) and Cross Country (80cm) all in one day. This will take time and commitment in order to train and get ourselves fit enough to safely complete the day. Our training is on going - with dressage competitions, pole sessions and riding club clinics, with the aim to complete our challenge in 2019!!

Both Daisy and I are built for comfort so getting suitably fit for the Challenge is step one. We are lucky to have a fantastic trainer behind us, supporting us 100% on this amazing cause and hopefully you all will be too.
