Story

Hi everyone :) Thank you for taking the time to visit my page!

From August - September 2013 I am travelling to Jinja, Uganda with the amazing charity East African Playgrounds and 11 other students.

I am volunteering there for a month where we are going to build a playground made from locally soured products and the help of the Ugandan Welding Team who are employed by the charity. Alongside building the playground we will be teaching the local children sport and arts and crafts.

The money which I need to raise will pay for the locally sourced materials and the wage of the Ugandan Building Team.

Not only will your kind donations pay for a building, but they will also create more employment opportunities for the local people of Uganda. I am very proud to be a part of this journey and cannot describe how excited I am to step foot in Uganda and start work!

The money raised will enable EAP to buy:

£10 buys 7 tires
£25 buys 3 bags of cement
£50 buys a tire den or pyramid
£100 buys a seesaw
£250 buys a swing
£300 buys football posts and netball posts
£500 buys a baby complex (slide, climbing wall and steps)
£1000 buys a big complex ( 2 platforms, tyre bridge, slide, climbing wall, firemans pole and monkey bars)
£5000 builds a complete playground

I would like to ask you to help me improve the lives of the children of Africa by helping me reach my target.

Please donate anything you can, and remember that even small donations mean a great deal to us and make an impact.
