Story
In honour of our much loved, amazing friend David Greaves, I am organising a sponsored walk from London to Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of the UK, this September. We will be doing this as part of the incredible 2Fingers2MND team, who together have so far raised an astounding £65K (and rising!).

Dave was diagnosed with ALS Motor Neurone Disease in June 2015 after 6-9 months of feeling increasingly unwell. Sadly, he passed away last September. Dave showed incredible strength and continued to live life to the maximum. He achieved an unbelievable amount in a short period following his diagnosis including marrying the amazing Philippa, publishing the wonderful Homeless Bumblebee & Me book, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to 4,600m, raising thousands to fund research into MND and travelling to Africa visiting charity projects and providing funding for local schoolchildren.
Simply put, Dave and Philippa are nothing short of awe-inspiring.
MND is a progressive neurodegenerative condition affecting the relaying of messaging from the brain to the muscles, eventually leading to paralysis and a dramatically curtailed life expectancy. At present there is no cure for MND.
The plan is to start in Central London then walk down to the Surrey Hills, across the South Downs, through the New Forest, Dorset AONB, across Dartmoor and briefly along the South West Coastal Path.
Dave the Ironman, would have more than likely run this route, however, being a mere mortal, I can only attempt to crawl it over a period of two weeks.
The purpose of the walk is raise as much as we can for MNDA, push myself personally (I rarely do any kind of exercise) and most importantly enjoy the scenery whilst honouring Dave, who I'm sure will be with us all the way x
