I am planning to run 10K next month to raise money for McMillan Cancer Support, as they do great work supporting people with cancer and their families.

Last year my dad was diagnosed with cancer following a mass screening programme. He had no symptoms and was feeling great at the time. It came as a real shock to me and all the family to discover that he had cancer.

He has now been through surgery and six months of chemotherapy, and is now well on the road to recovery. Everyone involved in his treament deserves a huge "Thank You".

Every donation will go towards providing help and support to those with cancer and their families. They will go through a difiicult time, but with the right help and support those with cancer can survive and return to their families to enjoy life once again.

I have now got my dad back and my little girls have got their grand-dad back. 

Now I just want to do something to help those who helped my dad get through this.
