I am doing the 10k run to help to fund research specifically to help cure, treat and prevent Type 1 Diabetes. I have chose to raise money for this charity because my daughter Paige was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in June 2016 which has meant that she has to constantly monitor her sugar levels, carb count her food and is on two different types of insulin which she has to injection. The two different types of insulins are used to help control her sugar levels so that Paige does not become very sick.
