Fundraising for Street Child
My name is Sam, I am fourteen and am cycling from London to Paris in June for Street Child Sierra Leone, because they need the money.
Through my school, St James I learnt about the charity Street Child Sierra Leone. They help some of the poorest children go from living on streets to being safe and happy. When we were asked to think about our personel endevor project for Year 9 I wanted to do something I feel passionate about. My cycling challenge has been inspired by my brother, dad and cousins who have all done big bike rides. I decided to cycle the 220 miles from London to Paris for Street Child Seirra Leone. My Dad who lives in the office is going to cycle all that way with me so you have to give him some credit too. The children of Sierra Leone suffered through a terrible civil war which killed many of their families and destroyed everything they had lived for, for those children the only thing they have left is the street. So if you sponsor me and give them your money you will be helping someone else to reach their full potential. Supporting Street Child gets Sierra Leone closer to recovery and gives the children a chance which is important because the next generatinon matters.
