Story
Project Aga Sikolo - "Build a School"
A group of 35 undergraduate Architecture students and staff travelled to South Africa during Easter 2013 to help build a nursery school for underprivelaged children in the Limpopo Region. The Aga Sikolo project is the third scheme to be delivered by the University of Nottingham who have collaborated with Education Africa in a bid to provide affordable education facilities.
Following the previous project Limpopo the students returned to construct a kitchen and dining facility and further classrooms, alongside completing landscaping works. The students not only constructed the buildings but also designed them and fundraised over £30,000 ! Everyone worked exceptionally hard although there is still more work to be done; unfortunately we weren't able to complete the classrooms and we need to fundraise more money to enable a return visit to complete the works! Your donations are therefore required.
Every little helps . . .
ALL the moey raised will be directly spent on the building materials for the project itself. We would all be extremely grateful for any support and donations you are able to provide.

I have also created a documentary style movie of our time in South Africa which can be found on YouTube under "Project Limpopo Aga Sikolo"
