Story
thank you to for the donations! keep em coming! x
My mother - Kate Repton founded the charity 37 years ago after having a little girl 'Lucy Repton'. Lucy was born extremely premature and passed away 48 hours later. Kate then went on to have Edward who was also very premature, he is now 37 and 6 years later, little dotty (me) arrived, premature also. Kate decided after Edward was born and after the devastating loss of Lucy, that she wanted to raise funds for the Special Care Baby Unit at Derby City Hospital (Now called Royal Derby Hospital). The first event was a garden fete which raised £100. Kate continues fundraising to this day by holding a stall at fetes and antiques fairs around Derby, she sells baby knitwear, her beautiful hand crocheted blankets, and toys and books which people have donated.
I help out when I can do but this year decided to do my first solo fundariser in the form of The Summer Beast, and to also rope friends in to help raise money either by running The Beast themselves and getting sponsorship or sponsoring one of us.
Anything you could donate no matter how big or small helps to buy equipment for the Baby Unit at Derby so please dig as deep as you can and help us to support this worthy cause.
