I’m going to be running the Great Manchester Run 10K this year as part of the University of Manchester’s purple wave. In doing so, I’m hoping to raise some money for the university’s Undergraduate Access Scholarships, which aim to support people who would not normally be able to pursue higher education. I can personally testify that attending university can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life, and I firmly believe in giving everybody the opportunity to do so, no matter what obstacles they face or what background they’re from.
