We enable the creation of marine reserves to reverse the crisis in our oceans

Story

On the 18th of September I'll be cycling as part of a core team of 15 riders from London to Monaco in aid of the Blue Marine Foundation. Setting off from the Tower of London and riding into the Palace of Monaco 9 days later to be received by HSH Prince Albert.

The ride will be in total...

1,531 km distance
16,000 m elevation
16.8 million revolutions
3 million calories

The Blue Marine Foundation (BLUE) is working to solve the global crisis of ecologically harmful overfishing by successfully creating and maintaining huge protected marine reserves around the world, assisting and advising fishing and coastal communities how to benefit from the Eco tourism as a result of a healthy marine ecosystem.

BLUE’s aim is to put 10% of the world’s oceans under protection by 2020 and 30% by 2030. So far they are well on track...

Funds raised from our event will specifically go towards two projects that will contribute significantly to this goal: the Aeolian Islands to the north of Sicily and the Ascension islands in the South Atlantic.

In total we're aiming to raise over 250,000 pounds to protect an area the size of the U.K.

Thanks for your support!
