Story
As most of you know i suffered a RTA 14 years ago which left me needing surgery and years of physio. After many years of pain i was diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrone and chronic fatigue. Then with medication still not getting better i managed to get treatment with the pain clinic and learn to live with my pain. After several trips to hospital and many tests i was,3 years ago finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
14 years on from the accident,Still under the pain clinic and on many medications. Ive decided to live life to the full after years of feeling useless and like i was making the symptons all up. No one ever believing anything was wrong due to the fact i got on with my life and didnt look ill. Still to this day people dont believe im ill because i challenge myself with things that seem impossible and still work in a physical job.But anything can be possible if you really try.
I know that the up coming events im going to take part in this year will be very challenging and taxing on my body. But im going to do it to help my charity and to raise awareness about fibromyalgia as so little is known about it and id like to help people understand what we spoonies go through,so that maybe they will be a bit more understanding when we cant always do things.
As hard as these walks will be they are for great causes and i want to do them whilst i still physically able.
