I am running the Coventry half marathon on the 28th Feb 2016 for pennyappeal in aid of refugees around the world who need desperate support in these difficult times. I am doing this in loving memory of aylan kurdi who passed away in September 2015 along with his family  when they were looking for a better future away from their war torn home land of Syria. I have a son who is the same age as aylan which is why this tragedy is even more emotional for me personally,  I wasn't able to help him or his family but made a promise to help any families who are in need around any part of the world in the future.
