Story
In 2016, I took on the challenge to climb the highest free-standing mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro. You helped me raise over £2,000 to transform the lives of the most underprivileged orphans in Sub Saharan Africa.
This year, I’m pushing myself even further and will be taking on Everest Base Camp with Penny Appeal! For 17 days I will be trekking 17,000 feet above Earth while experiencing the most dramatic mountain landscapes in the world.
I am fundraising for the Rohingya Emergency Appeal, to help hundreds of thousands of people at the Balukhali camp in Bangladesh.
The camp is home to 500,000 displaced refugees who desperately need food, water, shelter and medical care to survive.
Treated worse than animals, the rabid dehumanisation of the Rohingyan people has become an ethnic cleansing of Myanmar. Human rights violations and destruction are rife, with women raped, children abused and villages burned to the ground.
Help me make a difference to the lives of those affected by donating now!
This challenge is in memory of my brother Ammar, who tragically passed away at age 21 in Turkey, 7 years ago. Please spare a prayer for him ❤️
