We're all cycling the length of Ireland in June in support of the British Heart Foundation. There's not a great deal of cycling experience in the group and we're expecting a tough time of it so any support you can give us would really help us to keep pushing on. The support you give will help save lives. It's a sad fact that one in three of us will die from cardio vascular disease in the UK and the work of the Heart Foundation is so very important in improving this situation and in supporting those who suffer from heart disease. After a heart attack some of the heart muscle actually dies and will never recover it's function. Three quarters of a million people in the UK are living with damaged hearts and can't live normal lives as their hearts don't pump effectively. The Heart Foundations "Mend a Broken Heart Appeal" can remedy that. Over the course of the next five years they will fund research to literally mend those hearts through ground breaking stem cell research that promises to transform the lives of those living with heart disease and give them back the lives they used to lead. We'd love to help them on their way to achieving this goal.
