Radiographers/doctors/dosimitrists are coming together to support our friend and colleague. Her son OLLY has had radiotherapy and currently going through chemotherapy and he is wanting to help others in his situation, Here is a little from Olly. 

At present there is a massive contrast between my age group and the modern teenage unit.

I want us to have a voice !! The money raised is to be used to improve life for kids 9-13 years old in the RVI Children’s Cancer wards and within Radiotherapy at the Freeman.

We can then improve services for us like better food, comfortable beds for our parents, a chill out room, less dinosaurs and monkeys on walls,a better kitchen and internet and TV that actually works !!!!

I met with some of the top people from the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI yesterday with Mum and Dad. They really listened to my ideas and want my input to engage the opinions of my fellow patients.

We have joined  together to raise money for the Newcastles Great North Children Hospital Ward 4/14 and Charlie Bear for Cancer care charites.
