Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In December 2018, I will be going on a life changing trek to Mount Everest base camp with Penny Appeal for Rohingya Emergency Appeal. I will be embarking on 17 day trip, 17,000 feet above Earth, trekking consecutively for 12 days to cover a total distance of 120 km with temperatures falling below -25C.
Rohingya people have been treated worse than animals, women raped, children abused, homes burnt and forced to flee for their lives by the Myanmar security forces. Countless refugees, including children, are missing and presumed dead, as they're being forced to risk everything to escape the brutal persecution. The UN official has accused the government of carrying out ethnic cleansing. The international community has labelled the Rohingya the "most persecuted minority in the world".
It is our moral responsibility to raise awareness about this injustice, speak up and help those in need. Please donate whatever you can!
The money raised will go directly to Penny Appeal's Rohingya Emergency Appeal to help Muslim refugees in Balukhali refugee camp in Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh. The camp is home to 500,000 displaced refugees who desperately need food, water, shelter and medical care to survive. Donations received will provide food, clothes, hygiene and sanitation items and supplies of clean fresh water alongside much-needed toilets and shelters.
The cost of the trip is being covered by Penny Appeal and my deposit contribution. This is a 100% donation policy. Every penny raised will go towards helping the Rohingya refugees.
Zakat is also accepted.
Please donate as little or as much as you can to help the Rohingya refugees
Thank you
