Rumaysa Mahmood is raising money for As-Suffa Trust
Story
Salaam all! I'm partaking in the University of Birmingham's ISOC charity week trek. This year inshallah, we’re raising money through As Suffa Trust, with 80% of donations going into the Somalia famine cause; a 20% portion will go towards tackling homeless in the UK.
The humanitarian situation in Somalia is dire. An estimated 6.2 million people-around half the population- require emergency aid in the form of food, shelter or water (UNICEF, 2018*). Alhamdulillah, food security rates are beginning to slowly creep up, but it’s a far cry from anything substantial. With your donations inshallah, we can make a significant difference to a number of people.
