Story
As a friendship group St Barnabas House is close to all our hearts and this year is particularly special, as it’s 50 years since it first opened.
To celebrate 50 years of loving care we are following in the footsteps of the hospice nurses and walking 7,000 steps each everyday in February - that’s nearly 50,000 steps a week each - and raising funds in the process. To some 7,000 steps a day might not seem like hard work but as over 50% of us average 3,000 steps a day this will be a challenge for us!
Any donations made will help local people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones enjoy life as fully as possible, for the time they have left together.
We aim to raise £465 which is -
£90
is enough to fund a home visit from a Community Nurse Specialist
£150
could help give a patient a whole night of care at home
£225
could fund a nurse at the hospice for a day - offering comfort and easing pain
Thank you in advance for any donations and if you see us out walking please give us a beep and a wave!
