Living in London we are acutely aware of the diversity of the community around us.  None so obvious as the 'haves' and 'have nots'.  Every night there are people less fortunate than us who have no option but to sleep rough and ask for food and warmth.

As Estate Agents working in London for many years, we've seen property prices and rents rise.   Great for property owners but out of reach for those arriving in London, seeking their first jobs or perhaps running away from home and searching for a new life.

Depaul Charity works with those aged between 16-25 years old homeless and struggling in London and across the UK.  They support over 3,500 young people and provide 120,000 bed nights for those who have no alternatives.

Both of us have teenage children and the idea of them or their friends having no alternative but to sleep rough breaks our hearts.

On Monday 12th October, no matter what the weather, both of us, will be camping out and 'sleeping rough'.

However we have the knowledge that tomorrow we will be with our loving families again, able to get a hot bath and to fall asleep in a safe environment and in a comfortable warm bed. 

Many aren't so lucky.
