Story
I’m afraid time has flown, and it’s time to grease the bike, find a soft saddle, and mount up once more.
As those of you who have received a similar missive from me in the past realise, this is the fourth bike ride, and the third I have been on. I missed one because my shoulder was being repaired
This I promise will be the last time I will try to prise charitable contributions from you.
The Truants, (our name) have raised £724,250 for Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline, since the first bike ride in Egypt.
If you look at our pictures you must admit, you’d have to go some distance to find a fitter, leaner, well turned out bunch of cyclists. Reminds you of the Tour de France doesn’t it?
This has been named as our Million Pound Ride.
We hope to raise £275,750 and complete the One Million Pounds raised for the three charities.
After this ride I will retire gracefully from fundraising, and quietly sip something alcoholic whilst others take the strain.
Please, please, give generously, the children, unfortunately in this day and age rely to a great extent on the donations the Charities recieve.
You can donate directly here through my Just Giving page, please tick the “ tax” box, to enable us to claim a large donation from the taxman.
If you wish to donate by cheque please make it payable to "NRMT Truants" and write on the back of the cheque ROBINMOORECAM14
You will also need to complete a gift aid form which you can download from here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/appendix_b1.pdf
and return it together with your cheque. We will then be able to extract large sums of money from the taxman.
Thank you very much for your donations in the past, and please donate again.
Thankyou in advance
Robin
