1664 CHALLENGE 2017 – RIYAHD DIPLOMATIC QUARTER IRONMAN 27-28 JULY 2017

•       In the height of summer in Saudi Arabia with a daily average temperature in the 40’s  the Royal Marine team based in the British Embassy Riyadh will complete a 166.4 Ironman Triathlon in under 12 hours.

•        The 166.4 Ironman Triathlon sits between a full and a half Ironman distance and consists of a Swim / Bike / Run totaling  166.4km (100.84 miles) raced in order without a break.

•        Swim = 4 km (2.42 miles)

•        Bike = 137.65 km (83.42 miles) 

•        Run = 24.75 km (15 miles)

•        The event will take place in the Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh utilising the Embassy swimming pool and a 10 mile circuit for the bike and run.

•        The event will start at 1700hrs on Thu 27 Jul and go through the night.
