About Ride of Thrones
The CSDST offers competitive ski training for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women. The charity has trained four athletes to national Paralympic standard, reintroducing the spirit of challenge and competition that they were accustomed to as part of normal Service life.
This year, the charity's goal is to send two additional skiers to the 2018 Winter Paralympics in Pyeonchang, hot on the trail of Sergeant (Retired) Mick Brennan who was trained by the CSDST to compete for Team GB at Sochi 2014. With a proven model in place for turning relative novices into Paralympic athletes, it's an achievable goal but one that requires an injection of funding to make happen.
That's where we come in. Ride of Thrones is an organised cycle from one throne to another; Edinburgh Castle to the Tower of London. We're making the journey over 6 days, from the 3rd-9th September and will be joined by team members using specially designed hand-driven bikes. By sponsoring our ride, you can help fund the equipment and training that the CSDST team need to send two more athletes to represent Team GB in the Paralympics.
Make it happen. Send our heroes to Pyeonchang 2018
