My name is Rhona McConnell and I am currently a Duty Manager within LIDL in Stevenston, North Ayrshire.

This charity whole heartedly caters for children with cancer, and is therefore one in which is highly respected and greatly predominant within our society. Unfortunately it is apparent that every day 10 children hear the shocking news that they been diagnosed with cancer. This number is astonishing; therefore my aim is to raise as much money as possible to help this valued charity provide practical, clinical and emotional care to the children who really need it.

In doing so, I do not have one specific event, instead, I plan to organise as much events as possible to help raise as much funds as we possibly can.

One event has already taken place on the 6 of October 2012. This consisted of ‘A LIDL charity night’ including; live music, DJ, quiz and raffles. The night was a major success and, half of the proceeds will be donated to CLIC Sargent.

I plan on following this success with many other fundraising ideas within my local Store Stevenston and in and around the local area. Such events include; Charity Carwash and Sponsored Skip within the store.

Events and Dates will be as followed when these events are due.

Therefore I would really appreciate it if you dig deep, as much or as little as you can to support our aim in raising awareness for this credible charity and raising as much money as we possibly can.
