Story
Last year I ran the virtual London Marathon, from Achnasheen to Strathpeffer, conducting three services along the route. Once I finished, I promised never to do that again. Which meant that as soon as registrations opened for this years race I signed up. Now I've got 7 months to prepare for a trip round London.
Last year Susan and I had to borrow a wheelchair when she broke her ankle. it was rubbish. It was a seat with wheels, knocked together with what felt like scaffolding tubes and barely gave any independence. So I'd like to help kids get around independently with wheelchairs that are right for them. With that in mind, I'm fundraising towards Whizz-Kidz' vital services for young wheelchair users. Please sponsor me and help transform young people's lives. All young people face challenges, but for a young wheelchair user society can be that bit more challenging to navigate. The right wheelchair is more than just a set of wheels; it can be the key to unlocking a young person’s potential.Whizz-Kidz’ range of services give young disabled people the chance to lead a fun and active childhood, while gaining independence and growing in confidence.
