Story

This year the RPM team will be joining the Heavy Metal Truants bicycle ride, cycling all the way from London to Download Festival in Derbyshire across three days (a total of 161 miles). We are joining this challenge to raise money and awareness for those who need it most, in the name of Nordoff Robbins, Childline, and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Founded by Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and Metal Hammer editor-in-chief Alexander Milas, the Heavy Metal Truants is the only charity cycle ride of its kind, and it represents the spirit of the metal community. Please help us spread the word and help reach our target. This ride is going to be a tough but rewarding challenge, please give whatever you can to help us make a hell of a difference!

You can also help us raise money by texting RAWW66 to 70070.

Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.
