Story

We're back !!!! Greeting everyone from Middlewich Fire Stations Charity Running Team "Rapid Response".

Full of success from last years event we are back to do it all over again including some new team members !

Last year we raised an amazing total of over £1579 for The Firefighters Charity and were a massive success at the Great Manchester Run, featuring in Newspapers,Local Radio, and even the events main website & BBC News Live TV coverage, and with massive support from the tens of thousands of spectators and fellow runners who cheered us along the way.

So for 2015 we are back and ready to run harder, faster and collect even more money !

For those of you who are hearing about us for the first time or if you are fans of our previous races here is some information about the team and our challenge.

We are a team of 7 Operational Firefighters and 2 Fire Cadet Leader all serving at Middlewich Community Fire Station part of Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service, we are participating in the BUPA Great Manchester Run 2015 raising funds for the Firefighters Charity. An amazing group that helps and supports injured or ill UK firefighters & their families in times of need. To raise the challenge for ourselves and to promote more fundraising all 9 personnel will be running in Full Firefighting PPE (Helmet, Tunic & Overtrousers) and also carrying Breathing Apperatus Sets weighing up to 10kg on our backs as well as Charity buckets.

The support we received last year was just incredible not only from our families and friends but all our other supporters and this year we want to do even better, donating pounds or even pence towards our goal is one step closer to our target and beating last years total.

Thank you very much for your support !!
