Event: Neuroblastoma Alliance - Sadie Rose Clifford Appeal, on 31 December 2013
We fund research and support families to access clinical trials for children.

Story

Ok so it's my second half marathon and this year I have chosen to support a young child named Sadie Rose from Harrogate who has an aggressive type of cancer called Neuroblastoma.  I have three kids myself so the appeal immediately touched me.  It was also compounded by the fact that there were close personal links to Sadie through friends I have met through my work as a DJ.  The parents have to raise a huge amount for incredibly expensive treatment in the US.

I also hope to raise awareness that there is little treatment options for children with Neuroblastoma in the UK.  The family have had to travel to the USA for clinical trials. The mondy needed is therefore even higher and the stress on the family greater. Hopefully Germany will soon follow the US with trials but there are no plans for the UK to offer trials as yet.

Every little helps.  Let's get to a target of £1000 on this page and maybe more as a contribution....
