Story

I am attempting to run 10km in the Chiang Mai marathon on Christmas day this year!

The Asian elephant is a highly endangered species, however many are forced to work long hours to generate revenue for their owners and to cover their own needs. The GVI Thai Elephants project is creating a new future for these elephants by supporting a community's efforts to return their elephants to live in the forest. GVI is financially supporting a herd of 5 elephants, but we want more elephants to enjoy this natural and healthy existence in the forest.

Our team's target is to raise enough money to rescue one street elephant and sponsor them for 2 years in the forest programme.

If you want to know more about the program with GVI, visit this website. http://www.gvi.co.uk/projects/asia/thailand/volunteer-elephant-thailand/home :)
