When our company asked for volunteers for this Firewalk in aid of Cancer Research UK, I decided to do something a little crazy in memory of someone whose brilliant attitude to life and the struggle he faced to live that life quite simply puts the majority of us to shame.

I realise I contacted everyone for sponsorship before my Race for Life earlier this year. Less than a week after that event, Malcolm passed away from this evil mistress of a disease. The more she threw at him, the more he threw it right back at her. I want to take on something fittingly challenging to raise more money towards finding a cure - and I hope you understand when I don't apologise for asking for your support once again.
