Story
I am running with a team of around 120 other runners to raise funds and awareness of cancer research, research into premature birth & research into recurrent miscarriage at the University of Warwick.
I am fundraising for a University of Warwick professor's research into recurrent miscarriage. It is a devastating condition that means having three or more miscarriages in a row and affects around 1 couple in every 100 trying for a baby. There is great potential for research into its treatment.
Sioban Quenby, Professor of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Warwick Medical School, is a world leading fertility expert. Her work at the Bio-Medical Research Unit (BRU) helps women who suffer from recurrent miscarriages and infertility to conceive and give birth to healthy babies. In a recent study, 60% of the women treated for recurrent miscarriage went on to deliver healthy babies. However, more research needs to be done to develop this treatment.
Please help me support this important research at my soon-to-be alma mater.
I won't be breaking any 10km records, but should be able to run the whole thing in just under an hour based on my training so far. Your support would mean a lot to me.
Admin costs are met by the University of Warwick so 100% of everything you donate goes to the fund.
Thank you for reading!
