Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As part of the Kraft Foods team doing the Ride Across Britain 2012 we have a target to raise a total of £25,000 for the British Paralympic Association. The ride is 960 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats over 9 days and we have a group of riders doing the full ride and a group of 1,2 or 3 day riders.
In this Olympic year I wanted to set myself a new physical challenge and jumped at the chance to join the RAB team - I was lucky enough to be selected and quickly had to learn to ride a road bike. I was soon to realise just how many hours I would need to spend in the saddle to prepare myself for my two days of riding and have gone distances I would never have done before.
Riding for the BPA is also inspiring for me - they are pivotal in ensuring Britain's top disabled athletes are best prepared to compete at the Paralympic Games and they work tirelessly to inspire more people with a disability to get into sport. Paralympics GB has never had a bigger year than 2012 and I hope that the games will help the changing public perception of people with a disability.
So please dig deep and support me as I continue to train hard so that I can 'enjoy' my 204 miles!
