I will be running with a team of 120 other runners to raise funds (and awareness) for the amazing work that is carried out by experts in the Cancer Research Unit at the Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick.

This cause is very close to my heart, having lost a very close family member last year & having friends that have also suffered from this awful illness.  The effect that it has on families & friends is devastating and I want to do anything that I can to raise as much money as possible for this cause.

The funds will help the unit to continue to run many clinical trials, in conjunction with local and national hospitals, and also carry out research into areas which are not otherwise supported through funds from government and some of the larger cancer charities.

Your donation will help to fund their research into:

• Cancer detection
• Cancer treatment
• Causes of cancer
• Treating rare types of cancer
