Michelle and I have recently joined the BOFA 4x4 family due to our offroad activities and the fact that we can help raise money for charity by doing something that we both enjoy.

The following is just a small snippet of information about BOFA 4x4 and their good work for Macmillan Cancer Support.

In March 2007, 60 competitors took part in the MAC 4x4 UK Challenge raising in total £110,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support – 5 of these vehicles were friends from the ‘BOFA 4x4 family’ who managed to raise through sponsorship, donations and fund raising events over £14,000 and we are now proud to be part of this unique family.

In 2008, Team BOFA 4x4 once again entered the event and had 6 of the total 60 teams in the event for 2008. Team BOFA 4x4 raised over £15,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support purely through this event.

So as a result of a family member dropping out, MAC 4x4 2009 here we come inconjunction with BOFA 4x4.

This year we are aiming to raise over £15000 again purely through this event, having 9 of our teams involved.

Team BOFA 4x4 are quite unique in fund raising as every penny is donated to the cause, including a cash donation from the team member for every piece of equipment donated/given to them by someone. Or indeed if work is done to our cars for free, then the full cost that would have been charged is paid into the fund by the member.

We self-fund our vehicles and fuel on every charity event that we do resulting in the Macmillan Cancer Support benefiting in every way possible.
